Throughout May, we ran a successful series of regional events, focusing on how members can use the NHS Benchmarking Network to help identify service improvement opportunities and looking at how benchmarking could be used in taking a whole system view of each region. Our team presented on a range of topics, with breakout sessions covering:
- Key issues in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Services
- Unscheduled Care: whole system solutions
- Integrated Care Systems
- Tackling variation in hospital efficiency
This is the second year we have facilitated regional events, and we are pleased to have had such keen interest from members and non-members. The whole system view of each region was well received and there was a good amount of discussion and networking throughout the day.
We welcomed our new Project Coordinators to present the members’ area to delegates. We hope you gained plenty of information and encourage you and colleagues to familiarise yourself with the members’ area now that the project cycle is in full flow!
Following the Network Steering Group meeting in late May, we are delighted to announce that we will be facilitating regional events again in 2019. Thank you to all delegates for your feedback – we are looking forward to developing future workshops to ensure that they are relevant and informative to all delegates and welcome any further comments and ideas to support this.
Our national conference programme will start from September covering the project topics in the 2018/19 work programme; more information on these will be shared in the coming months. If you have any good practice initiatives you have put in place or currently exploring, or innovations whereby you have shown positive outcomes for patients and you would like to showcase them at our national conferences, please get in touch with our Event Manager, Emma Pruce to discuss further.
