The NHS Benchmarking Network is pleased to announce that data collection has opened for our annual Learning Disability (Providers) project. The project delivers the most comprehensive assessment of the state of NHS learning disability services and provides insight to support operational service improvement and strategic development. This is the 5th cycle of the project’s work which allows the opportunity to track the progress made over time. The project covers both inpatient and community care across the domains of; service models, access, activity, workforce, finance, quality and outcomes.
Last year’s project saw 52 organisations take part, with participants covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland, including both NHS and Independent sector organisations.
The data collection deadline is 1st November 2019. This will be followed by a validation process where Trusts will receive draft bespoke reports. Once results are validated, participants will receive a final bespoke report and a benchmarking toolkit, and be invited to attend the national findings conference in March 2020 to hear about good practice and innovation in the field of learning disabilities, alongside the findings from the 2019 project.
Members organisations can register and submit data online via the Network members’ area. For further details or if you have any queries about this project, please contact Alex Ng, or call 0161 266 1940.
