Data collection for the 2019 Emergency Care benchmarking project is now open
The Emergency Care project is open to all providers of emergency care services, reviewing the provision of Accident and Emergency services (Type 1&2) as well as alternative community based services such as Walk-In Centres, Urgent Care Centres and Minor Injuries Units (Type 3).
The Emergency Care project supplements available national metrics by looking at the detailed workings of A&E departments and alternative walk-in facilities. The project includes profiling of service models, access and waiting, infrastructure, activity, workforce, finance, quality and outcomes.
The project will provide members with comparative data to evidence a range of performance metrics to monitor compliance and progress with the the targets set within the NHS Long Term Plan.
Data collection will run to 26th July 2019, validation will commence shortly after with reporting due in November.
Projects outputs include a benchmarking toolkit, a bespoke report for your organisation, and a high level national report outlining key messages and metrics for services nationally. Read more on last years highlights.
