Autumn Events Launch – Save the date

Following a fantastic start to our 2018/19 national conference programme, boasting great attendance and informative speakers, we are pleased to launch our remaining conferences. Save the date in your diaries – further details are available on the members’ area and registration will open soon.

All Network members are welcome to attend the benchmarking conferences, and we always look forward to meeting our project participants. A benefit of Network membership is free delegate places, where your team will hear the latest project findings delivered by our Support Team. 


 2018/19 NHS Benchmarking Network conferences

Benchmarking & Good Practice in Managing Frailty & Delayed Transfers of Care in the Acute Setting

The 2019 conference season will get underway with a national conference on Managing Frailty & DToC in the Acute Setting, being held on Thursday 7th February in London. We are delighted to welcome Dr Adrian Hopper, GIRFT Lead for Geriatric Medicine, as our Keynote speaker. There will also be a focus from member good practice on frailty at the front door.

2017/18 Benchmarking & Good Practice in Outpatients Conference

Outpatients returns for a second year, following the positive response from the inaugural project in 2017. We will be hosting Benchmarking & Good Practice in Outpatients on Thursday 28th February in London. Continuing our positive relationship with the GIRFT team on this project, we invite John Hadley, Consultant ENT Surgeon to deliver a presentation on the GIRFT programme. In addition, there will be a collection of good practice from the membership. If you would be interested in championing your service and presenting at the conference, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Benchmarking & Good Practice in Learning Disabilities

We will be delivering the Benchmarking & Good Practice in Learning Disabilities conference on Tuesday 5th March in London. We are pleased to welcome back Jean O’Hara, National Clinical Director for Learning Disabilities, as our Keynote speaker. Our members will also be presenting their good practice, including Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust on ‘My Health Navigator’.

Benchmarking Findings in Primary Care

To round of the NHSBN national conference season, we will be delivering a workshop to review the findings and explore opportunities within Primary Care, on Thursday 14th March in Birmingham. This workshop will be delivered by the NHSBN support team plus additional speakers. More information will be shared soon via the members’ area, however we encourage our CCG members to save the date for this exciting event.

Wales Planned Care, Outpatients & Theatres Findings

The NHSBN Support Team will be delivering a cut of the Planned Care, Outpatients & Theatres projects findings for Welsh University Health Board members on Thursday 4th April in Cardiff. This event is funded by the Welsh Government. There are a maximum of ten spaces per University Health Board, and registration will be available via the members’ area. Please note, this is a Wales only event.


National Audit of Intermediate Care (NAIC)

In addition to our core NHSBN conferences and the NAIC conference for England in November, we are delighted to launch two further conferences for NAIC to be held in Wales and Northern Ireland.

NAIC Wales Findings Conference

We are pleased to announce the NAIC Wales Findings Conference, to be held on Tuesday 11th December, which will provide our members with an opportunity to hear the Wales findings from the 2018 audit. There are a maximum of ten spaces per University Health Board, and registration is available via the members’ area. Please note, this is a Wales only event.

NAIC Northern Ireland Findings Conference

The NAIC Northern Ireland Findings Conference will be held in the New Year, on Friday 1st March 2019, providing our members with an opportunity to hear the Northern Ireland findings from the 2018 audit. This conference is by invitation only and will be coordinated by the Intermediate Care leads within each Health & Social Care Trust and Local Commissioning Group. Registration is not available via the members’ area. Please note, this is a Northern Ireland only event.
