The NHSBN team held the Benchmarking population health and whole system allocation of resources workshop earlier this week (Wednesday 13th February 2019). Attendees had the opportunity to share recommendations and input into the prospective ICS project, part of the commissioning work programme for 2019/20.
The STP/ICS Benchmarking project is intended to support strategic leaders by providing insight into performance of achieving the NHS Long Term Plan triple aim of improving patient outcomes, improving patient experience and achieving financial balance.
NHSBN collates a range of metrics that cover all NHS sectors and provides analysis on national NHS and Local Authority data. The STP/ICS benchmarking project will use this unique whole system insight into service models, service access, activity, workforce, finance, quality and outcomes, to provide you with information to support your oversight activities as your STP develops and matures.
As a member organisation, we would like you to be involved in the developments of this project. NHSBN have set up a virtual reference group to share and mould the project through its infancy. If you would like to be included in the distribution list, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
More information will be shared as the project takes shape. Thank you to all attendees to the Benchmarking population health and whole system allocation of resources workshop; the discussion was greatly beneficial to the scoping of this project and we look forward to the 2019/20 work programme.
