Health & Care Innovation Expo Review

Thank you to Health & Care Innovation Expo 2017 for a successful two-day exhibition. The Manchester Central Convention Complex welcomed a record number 5,000 delegates. Our Support Team greatly enjoyed meeting delegates and fellow exhibitors and will be following up on the contacts made over the next couple of days.

The event was opened by Professor Sir Malcolm Grant, Chairman of NHS England and Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, and didn’t drop in pace! Keynote addresses from Simon Stevens, Chief Executive of NHS England and the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health rounded off Day two of the Expo. The Secretary of State for Health focused on the opportunities with technology, unveiling plans for a digital-led NHS by 2018.

As well as exhibiting the NHS Benchmarking Network, we also had the opportunity to present the recently shortlisted London Mental Health Dashboard for one of the Pop Up University workshops.

The workshop was introduced by George Howard from the Healthy London Partnership, stating how England has the best mental health data in the world; followed by Stephen Watkins, Network Director, giving a live demonstration of the Dashboard. It was wonderful to have such an invested audience for this workshop and we are delighted by the positive response to the Dashboard.

Our Support Team enjoyed speaking to delegates and will be processing queries over the coming days. It was great to hear about the collaborative work that is being planned, and we look forward to the opportunity to connect again.

We will be exhibiting at the Patient First event in London on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd November.
