The NHS Benchmarking Network team have exhibited at several events this year and June was no exception. Read about our involvement in national conferences and new opportunities for CCGs and Acute Trusts below.
Health Plus Care Commissioning Show
On 27th and 28th June, we took to the stage at the London ExCeL, exhibiting the Network to members and stakeholders. The Health Plus Care Commissioning Show gave us a great opportunity to gain insight from CCGs into the recently completed ‘CCG Functions’ pilot project, as well as the upcoming work on Primary Care.
We hope to see many of our Commissioner members at our ‘CCG Functions Workshop’ at the end of August. More information on this will be circulated soon.
Chief Allied Health Professions Officer (CAHPO) Annual Conference
We returned to the CAHPO Annual Conference as an exhibitor on 21st June. The Conference provided a platform to share knowledge about how the healthcare system is utilising #AHPsintoAction. We look forward to following the #AHPsintoAction campaign and publishing the findings of projects that contain data on AHPs in the Autumn.
A highlight of the conference for the Network was meeting members who have used our therapy benchmarking outputs to inform their business plans, allowing them to secure resource for their departments.
Acute Frailty Network Conference
We met a range of Trusts, Commissioners, and Local Authority staff members at the Acute Frailty Network on 29th June. This year’s focus was front door frailty; a topic covered in many of our projects, including Older People, Emergency Care and Acute Therapies.
The schedule was compiled of informative and interesting speakers, including a presentation from Professor Martin Vernon, NCD for Older People and Person Centred Integrated Care.
We are pleased to announce the enthusiasm surrounding our new project, Delayed Transfers of Care. You can find out more about this project here.
Our events season is just around the corner. We have already confirmed a number of ‘good practice’ and Keynote speakers for upcoming events, so be sure to register for your place on the Members’ Area of the website. You can also browse the upcoming events here.
