We are excited to announce that the National Audit of Intermediate Care event registration is now live. You can register your details to attend this conference via the members' area. Spaces are limited for this event, so sign up now!
Date: 15th November
Location: International Convention Centre (ICC), Birmingham
This year, the NAIC National Conference is aiming to give participants insight into the contribution that intermediate care services can make to the whole health and social care economy. There will be an emphasis on national plans to shift care out of hospital, in line with the Five Year Forward View, and the new models of care. Case studies will concentrate on areas where intermediate care services have been re-designed in order to shift care out of hospital. The National Conference will also give an early insight into progress against the recently published NICE Quality Standard for Intermediate Care and Re-ablement.
The conference will be Chaired by Dr Duncan Forsyth, Chair of the NAIC Steering Group and Consultant Geriatrician for Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We open the conference with Kathryn Evans, Head of Planning Delivery for the Hospital to Home Team, NHS England. We will be hearing from one of our supporting partner organisations, Rachel Power from The Patients Association, who will summarise this year's service user audit findings. We will be concluding the conference with a look back on the previous five years of intermediate care, presented by Professor David Oliver from the Royal College of Physicians.
We are anticipating great interest in this event and recommend you register your place now as spaces are limited. You will also get the opportunity to meet members of the NAIC Steering Group and network with other participating organisations. This is an event not to be missed!
