Corporate Functions

The Corporate Functions benchmarking project covers the provision and management of corporate functions. It is one of the Network's longest running and most popular projects. Feedback from members suggests that the project is relevant due to a lack of structured corporate functions evidence being available from other sources within the NHS. 

Participants can use the online tool to compare their positions for a wide range of services, examining activity, staffing, unit costs and models of delivery.

2015/16 Benchmarking Project

The 2015/16 iteration of the Corporate Functions project collected 2015/16 data and had over 100 participants from provider organisations. The following outputs are available to Network members:

  • Online toolkit

Corporate benchmarking data from the NHS Benchmarking Network is an essential tool for our organisation. It has enabled us to better understand our corporate functions. With this knowledge we have been able to set and realise both cost improvement savings in some areas and evidence the case for investment in others.
