Sustainability of Primary Care is a key priority for the NHS. This benchmarking project will provide CCGs with insight to support delivery of the GP Forward View, to support your local primary care sustainability and transformation work.
Current CCG members have told us that benchmarking activity, workforce, and patient outcomes and experience, is important for them. Therefore, we have developed a project that meets the needs of CCGs with robust benchmarking insight and best practice learning to support and implement primary care transformation.
The aim of the project is to provide Primary Care commissioners and their colleagues with useful information and analysis that supports their work and can inform their decision making. While the project aims to use existing data sources, an additional data collection was used to examine CCGs processes and other data not available elsewhere. The project seeks to provide meaningful analysis of this data, to make it useful.
This project is for all commissioners. Subscribing members will receive a bespoke dashboard report outlining key metrics and highlighting your reported positions.
2018/19 Benchmarking Project
2018 participants received a bespoke dashboard report outlining key messages and metrics, which compares your local position against nationally reported positions.
2019/20 Benchmarking Project
The Primary Care project is not taking place in the 2019/20 work programme; however, it will be incorporated into a new project for integrated care systems, to be scoped and developed in 2019/20. The Network welcomes members that would like to share ideas for development and good practice in this area.
